San Diego Chapter Appraisal Institute Career Advancement Scholarship

Overview:

The San Diego Chapter of the Appraisal Institute is excited to introduce the Career
Advancement Scholarship, aimed at supporting individuals who are currently working in or
aspiring to enter the appraisal profession. This scholarship encourages professional
development within the field and promotes active participation in the Appraisal Institute
community.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Career Advancement Scholarship, applicants must meet the following
criteria:
1. Be a current member of the Appraisal Institute’s San Diego Chapter or become a member
prior to the start of the class.
2. Be currently employed in the appraisal profession or actively seeking to start a career in
appraisal.

Scholarship Award:

The scholarship award will be a variable amount between $150 and $1,100, issued at the
discretion of the San Diego Chapter Board and are not guaranteed to cover the total cost of any
one class. Funds may only be used for offerings provided by the San Diego Chapter.

Application Process:

Interested candidates should submit the following materials:
1. A one-page written statement detailing their experience and aspirations in the appraisal
profession, along with plans for entering or advancing in the appraisal profession.
2. One letter of recommendation.

Selection Process:

Scholarship recipients will be selected by the San Diego Chapter Board of Directors based on
the recommendations of the Chapter Scholarships Committee. Awards are limited to one per
recipient within a five-year period.  A maximum of 2 scholarships are awarded annually.
